Kunnapuzha Sree Kandan Sastha Temple

Sree Kandan Sastha Temple is a divinely fascinating spot located at Kunnapuzha, near Mudavanmugal Kunnu Bungalow in Thiruvananthapuram District of Kerala. This ancient temple enshrines Lord Ayyappa, also called Sastha, as the presiding deity.
Separate niches are set apart for the deities of Lord Ganesh and goddess Shakti. The rajagopuram in front of the temple is an imposing one.
The Makar Sankranti Festival is celebrated here with much pomp and splendor.

Kunnathukal

Kunnathukal / குன்னத்துகள் village is located in Thiruvananthapuram District, about 40 km from Thiruvananthapuram. It is located at the border of Tamil Nadu. This village is accessible by motorable roads. The nearest town Parassala is 5 km away. The first allopathic hospital was set up here by Christian missionaries in 1894 and continues to function as the major private hospital in the vicinity. A dispensary was inaugurated by the government in the early 1930s in the village and it was upgraded to Primary Health Center in 1980.
Agriculture is the major occupation of the people. A large number of men and women work as daily-wage laborers in the plantations. Some families also engage in animal husbandry and livestock farming. The literacy rate in the region is high at 90%. The first vernacular school was established in the village more than 80 years ago. There are 10 government and private schools in the village.

RCC
Regional Cancer Centre (RCC) is situated in a modern building complex, within the Medical College Campus in Thiruvananthapuram. It is an internationally famed center for conducting a wide range of cancer research. The center was founded in 1981 by the Government of Kerala and Government of India.
RCC caters to the population of the state of Kerala and the adjoining parts of Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. The center provides state-of-the-art facilities for cancer diagnosis, treatment, palliation and rehabilitation. Located about 12 km from Thiruvananthapuram, Malayinkeezhu is a small town in Kerala. The prime attraction in the town is the Sree Krishna Temple. An annual festival, which lasts for seven days, draws a number of people from far and near. It culminates with the Aarattu ceremony.
A number of schools, educational institutions, religious centers and shopping centers make the town one of the popular residential and commercial areas in the city. Kattakada, Balaramapuram, Poojapura and Pappanamcode are nearby places.
Neyyar Dam and Neyyar Wildlife Sanctuary are easily accessible from Malayinkeezhu.

Malayinkeezhu Sree Krishna Temple

The Sree Krishna Temple at Malayinkeezhu is located about 12 km from Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala.
Lord Krishna in the form of Bala Krishna (infant Krishna) is the presiding deity here. The idols of Lord Ganesh, Lord Shiva, Sastha (Lord Ayyappa) and Lord Nagaraja - the serpent god - can also be seen here.
One of the noteworthy features of the temple is its nalambalam. It is believed that if anyone worships Lord Krishna inside the nalambalam, his wish would be granted. Women are not allowed to enter the nalambalam.
An annual festival, which lasts for seven days, draws people from far and near. It culminates with the Aarattu ceremony. Apart from the main festival, a grand festival is held during Janmashtami.
