Vettukad

Vettukad is a costal area in Thiruvananthapuram District and lies near Veli. It is situated around 7 km from Thiruvananthapuram city center.
The prime attraction is Vettukad Church, a 'Madre De Deus' Church commonly known as Vettukad Palli. The annual festival, Vettukad Perunal, celebrated in this church attracts thousands of devotees from far and near.
Regular bus services connect Vettukad with Thampanoor and East Fort. Veli Railway Station and Kochuveli Railway Station are the nearest railway stations. Trivandrum International Airport is the nearest airport.

Vettukad Church

Vettukad Church is situated at a distance of about 7 km from the city of Thiruvananthapuram. It is a 'Madre De Deus' Church commonly known as Vettukad Palli. Every year a celebration called the 'Feast Of Christ, The King' is organized here. Thousands of devotees from all over South India gather here to participate in the celebrations.
