Sasthamangalam is among the prime locations on the outskirts of Thiruvananthapuram, the capital city of Kerala. This quite residential area is about 1 km from Vellayambalam, on Vellayambalam–Vattiyoorkavu route.

Sasthamangalam Balasubramania Swamy Temple

Balasubramania Swamy Temple, an oasis of peace and tranquility, is located near Alakapuri Auditorium at Sasthamangalam in Thiruvananthapuram. The main deity of the temple is Lord Muruga known by the name Balasubramania Swamy.
Cradled in enchanting majestic ambience, the temple complex houses sub shrines of Lord Shiva, goddess Durga and Lord Ganesh. It is believed that one can accomplish all his desires by worshipping Balasubramania Swamy.
Skanda Shashti in October-November is celebrated with pomp and splendor by the devotees.
