Vettuthura (or Vettutura) is located in Thiruvananthapuram District in Kerala. The place is mainly occupied by the fishing community. Veli, a picturesque village with a waterfront park, lies at a distance of 5 km to the south. Vettoor, Anjengo, Attingal and Mangalapuram are the towns towards the north. Andoorkonam and Kazhakoottam are in the eastern side of Vettuthura. The population within 7 km of radius is 1,68,000 approximately.
