Vattiyoorkavu

Vattiyoorkavu is a quite extensive area lying on the north-eastern margin of Thiruvananthapuram city. The name 'Vattiyoorkavu' is a combination of two words - 'vatti,' meaning winding hilly tract, and 'kavu’ that stands for 'way or path'.
Killiyar flows close to this place. Vattiyoorkavu has a prominent seat in political map of Kerala; the memorial stone that marks the historic meeting of the State Congress in 1938 is at this place.
Nadana Gramam, Kerala State Audio-Visual and Reprographic Center, Government Polytechnic and Vattiyoorkavu complex of ISRO are some of the major landmarks here. Chamundi Temple, Shasta Temple and Juma Masjid are the nearby places of worship
