Chenkottukonam

Chenkottukonam is a small settlement in Thiruvananthapuram District of Kerala. It lies between Sreekaryam and Pothencode. The place is famous for the Chenkottukonam Sree Ramadasa Asram.
Chenkottukonam is around 10 km from Sreekaryam Junction and 21 km from Thiruvananthapuram. It can be reached by local buses from Thiruvananthapuram city Bus Station. Trivandrum International Airport and Thiruvananthapuram Central Railway Station are the nearest airport and railhead respectively.

Sree Ramadasa Asram

Sree Ramadasa Asram is situated at Chenkottukonam, about 10 km from Sreekaryam junction on NH 47 Kollam-Thiruvananthapuram in Thiruvananthapuram District of Kerala. The ashram, an oasis of peace and tranquility, is spread over 14 cents of sprawling land.
Sree Ramadasa Asram, the land of penance and realization, is headed by Swami Sathyanand Saraswatii, the famous disciple of Brahmasree Neelakanta Gurupadar who propagated the famous message ‘Vasudhaiva Kudumbakam’. The ashram is home to the shrines of Sree Ram-Sita- Anjaneya, installed by the Gurupadar, the Samadhi of Gurupadar and the Sakti Ganapathi shrine.
The ashram also conducts an uninterrupted reading of the Ramayana. Sree Ramadasa Asram also carries out many social religious activities guided by Swami Sathyananda Saraswati.
