Manithookki

Manithookki is a rural residential locality and an official administrative ward (Ward No. 10) situated within the Vithura Grama Panchayat in the Nedumangad taluk of Thiruvananthapuram district, Kerala. Recognized also for its indigenous tribal settlement areas, it is located in the hilly terrain closer to the Western Ghats foothill regions near Peppara.

Geographically, Manithookki is positioned near the Peppara wildlife and dam surroundings, lying roughly northeast of Nedumangad Town and approximately 35 to 40 km away from the state capital hub of Thampanoor (Thiruvananthapuram Central). The nearest major transport hubs are the Thiruvananthapuram Central Railway Station and the Trivandrum International Airport, located roughly 35 to 40 km away. The locality gained notable recognition for local agricultural heritage, notably being home to traditional farming communities cultivating conserved indigenous crops such as the unique "Makkal Thookki" (or Koonthani) variety of pineapple.
