Iruthalamoola Junction
Iruthalamoola (ഇരുതലമൂല) is a small junction and locality situated near Vithura in the Nedumangad Taluk of Thiruvananthapuram district, Kerala.
Etymology
In Malayalam, "Iru"
means two, "Thala" means head/end, and "Moola"
means corner or junction. The name literally translates to "a
corner where two heads meet". It refers to the key intersection where the
route coming from Thiruvananthapuram branches toward Ponmudi/Vithura in one
direction and toward Aryanad/Tholicode in the other.
